Music Monday: “The Princess Bride- Storybook Love” cover by the Violin String Quartet

Hosted by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek

Okay, so this one’s a little different because you won’t see any lyrics. Anyway, this is a cover of “Storybook Love” by the Vitamin String Quartet. Honestly, I picked this one because I have an emotional attachment to it. When my husband and I got married, our wedding party walked down to this song.  Apparently, he had a problem with using the Game of Thrones theme… but whatever.

I’m not Christian (I’m agnostic), and my husband doesn’t go to church, so we didn’t feel obligated to go the traditional route with our wedding. For our families, we used the Pride & Prejudice theme, our wedding party “Storybook Love” by VSQ, and for me? I walked down to an instrumental of “Tale as Old as Time” because yes, I’m THAT obsessed with Disney. But mostly, those are all beautiful pieces, and they have a story behind them. Obviously, I appreciate a good story–I have a reading blog after all. And don’t worry, this “story” theme continued to our reception where our guests were assigned to tables by literary couple rather than number.

Anyway, I just think this is such a beautiful cover of this song.
