Ten Books That Totally Need a TV/Film Adaptation

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Honestly…I couldn’t come up with a list of “hidden gems” because most of the books I have read recently are fairly popular. So instead…these are the books I’d like to see made into TV shows/Films ASAP.

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning: This would make a great show. I’m lookin’ at you, HBO. It’ll be like True Blood 2.0.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber: Okay, maybe a movie for this one, but can you imagine how cool it would be?!

Uprooted by Naommi Novik: A movie would be great, thanks.

The Diviners by Libba Bray:  Maybe a show on the CW? It could work.

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo:  Or Six of Crows. I’d take that too.

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart: This would be great as a Netflix mini-series.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern: I mean, I’ve heard rumors, but nothing else…Even still, can you imagine how beautiful this could be?

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas: Okay, I mean I know there’s a movie deal, but I’m still including this on my list. I think it would be better as a show, especially if the creators added more complexity to it.

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder: I’d just really like this to be a movie.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover: I mean it wouldn’t be a big budget film, but it’d make for a cute romance movie.

I bought We Were Liars over the summer. Still haven’t gotten around to reading it, but it does sound like it would be a great series on Netflix.

I read Everything I Never Told You awhile back. I’ve heard that was suppose to be adapted into a movie. Haven’t heard anything about that in awhile. I hope it happens though because it was such an incredible book.

Yes, it’s definitely a book I’ve heard a lot of good things about. I’m usually so indecisive when it comes to picking out my next book to read, so who knows when I’ll actually end up starting it. LoL.

Everything I Never Told You was such a fantastic read! It was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Total recommend!

LoL. Agree completely! I wish I could stick to a order for a reading list, but I am so fickle. LoL. I’ll have a plan to read a certain book and then when I finish what I just read and go to read what I was planning on reading next, I’m like, “I think I’ll read this instead”. Just like that I’ll change my mind, LoL. Glad to see I’m not the only one, LoL.

Yeah, I totally get it. I’m really indecisive in general. It’s mostly that I think I want to read one book next, but then I get in the mood for a different genre, so it just never sticks haha.

LoL. At the very least my indecisive reader habit inspired an article for my blog.

I read You by Caroline Kepnes over the summer and halfway through reading it found out there was a sequel. So for the first time in like forever I didn’t have to be indecisive about what to read next. Bookworm Nerd Miracle, LoL!
