  • List the rules as well as display the Sunshine Award Logo on your post.

Bibi’s Questions:

Who would play you, in a film/series about your life?

My gut-reaction would be Emma Watson, but then when I think about it…Probably Jennifer Lawrence. She’s awkward (like me) AND we have a similar sense of humor.

What’s your favourite genre?

YA fantasy, definitely. However, I’m starting to like “real” fantasy too.

Facebook or Twitter?

Easy! Facebook. I’m not into Twitter at all, and I don’t know many people who use it.I feel like Facebook is more user friendly anyway.

Do you organise and plan your blog posts?

Yep! I plan my posts out at least a week in advance. I’m a planner in almost everything I do.

What’s your favourite kind of blog post to write?

Book reviews, definitely. I like stating my opinion, which usually turns into me either gushing or ranting. But mostly, I like reviewing because being critical helps me grow as a writer.

How do you feel about books being adapted into films/series?

I love it! I love watching movies, and I enjoy seeing how others interpreted the book I read.  But I always feel a little apprehensive because “what if they ruin the movie?”

Do you re-read books, or is reading them once enough?

It depends on the book. There are some books that I definitely love to re-read. Harry Potter is a major one. But there are many books I wouldn’t consider re-reading, either for fear of not loving them again (like Libba Bray’s A Great and Terrible Beauty) or because I didn’t love them to begin with.

What book release are you looking forward/did you look forward to the most?

Well, honestly, nothing will ever live up to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. That was slow torture, and I spent entirely too much time digging through the books to make predictions and reading theories about what might happen next. It was pretty embarrassing, but I grew up as Harry Potter was released, so that’s just how it was.

But recently, I’ve been looking forward to Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. It’s out now, and I so desperately want to read it.

What do you enjoy most about blogging?

I like interacting with people who love reading! A lot of the people in my life don’t love reading and talking about books as much as I do, so I enjoy having this outlet. Besides, I love learning about new books and hopefully, exposing others to books they might not have normally read.

If you were to write a book, what would it be about?

Well, I actually do write. I enjoy writing what I read- YA fantasy. I feel like there’s so much more freedom within the young adult genre, and that’s what I love about it.  I typically write with a female protagonist, and I especially enjoy using history as an inspiration for the worlds I create.  The plot’s a secret though ;).

What’s your favourite comfort food?

Do tacos count? Because I love black bean and veggie tacos. In all seriousness though, I’ve never really enjoyed true comfort food. I am a lifelong vegetarian, and traditional American comfort food usually has meat in it. I mean like buttermilk biscuits…that counts, right?

My Nominees

I’ve decided to go with a mixture of new-to-me blogs and followers for this one.  Don’t feel like you have to participate, but I’m interested in getting to know all of you a little better :).

I’m a veg-head too! Been vegetarian for about 4 years now, and I try to do mostly vegan, but man, it’s hard.

I look forward to hearing more about your secret book!

Thank you :). Oops! I switched the link on my post. Sorry about that. I can’t wait to see your answers!

I’m also glad to to see another vegetarian! I’m not vegan, but I’m pretty darn close. It’s hard either way!
