Down the TBR Hole, #3

DowntheTBRHole

I’ve seen this floating around the internet, so I wanted to give it a try. It was created by Lost in the Story, and it looks like a lot of fun. I’ll be using my personal GoodReads account for this, so we’ll see how this goes.

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood (Added Sept 22, 2013)

Not sure about this one. I don’t think the premise is all that interesting after reading the synopsis, but everyone raves about the show. I’m pretty much over dystopian literature right now, too. Who knows…I think I’ll keep it on the list for now, but I’m not sure if it’s one I’ll ever get to.

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller (Added Sept 22, 2013)

I’ve been wanting to read this for forever, and I like reading war fiction AND satire. I just need to pick it up.

The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards (Added Sept 22, 2013)

Yeah…It sounds like its supposed to be one of those uplifting type stories. I’m pretty sure I’ll never read it, and I’m pretty sure if I tried, I’d only get twenty pages in. Not my kind of book.

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (Added Sept 22, 2013)

A woman’s descent into insanity…sounds interesting enough!

The Princess Bride by William Goldman (Added Sept 22, 2013)

Okay, honestly, did I even have to read the synposis? I actually got about half way through this, but I felt like I was just reading the movie. This is really one I should have read BEFORE the movie. However, I think its one I want to keep to read to my future children, so…
