Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I know. It’s crazy that I haven’t read this one yet. I mean, I have a degree in literature AND I love the movie.
A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly
This has been on my TBR since high school. I’m ashamed to say that I’ve only just recently purchased a copy.
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
I can’t believe I didn’t immediately pick this up when it came out. I was at just the right age to enjoy it, but I was also in my “I’m-too-cool-to-read-that-sort-of-book stage.” Stupid, I know.
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
I REALLY want to read this one, but I can never find a reasonably priced copy.
The Alchemist by Pualo Coelho
I’ll get around to it eventually. Maybe.
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
I feel like I have to watch it because of the mini-series (which, by the way, I haven’t watched). But honestly, I’m still a little over dystopian fiction, so I think I still need to wait to pick this one up.
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
I love satire, and I’ve had this on my list since I was in high school. Granted, I didn’t have much free time in high school or in college, but still…you’d think I would’ve read this by now.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
This came out when I was in elementary school, and I had heard about it all throughout high school. Everyone still tells me I need to read it. I usually don’t like realistic YA, but I’ll eventually get around to this.
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
This has also been on my TBR since high school, and I’ve had a copy of it on my shelf forever, but I just haven’t been in the mood to read it.
The Autumn of the Patriarch by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
I purchased this in college, read the first chapter, decided to go out, and never picked it up again. But I really do want to read it. Like I said, I was busy in college.
Let me know if you’ve read or want to read any of these books in the comments below! 🙂
Would love to read Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and Lolita!
I have read Pride and Prejudice (LOVE it), Eragon (don’t love it so much) and The Alchemist (so many people seemed to rave about this book, but it didn’t strike a chord with me).

I might try Pride and Prejudice this month. Yeah, I’ve heard mixed things about Eragon. I dunno if I’d like it as an adult, and I can definitely see The Alchemist being overhyped .

I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂

I also need to get around to finishing The Handmaid’s Tale. I think I’m only three episodes deep but I definitely need to see if they make changes to the ending of the book because it elicited all kinds of feelings.

Yeah, that would be interesting to see. I have to read before I watch the show, otherwise I won’t ever read the book.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my absolute favorite book! But if you don’t like realistic YA or coming of age stories, then I wouldn’t recommend it. It would be a set up for a disaster haha! It’s very beautiful and I absolutely love each character, but it has to be something for you.

Yeah. I mean I sometimes like realistic YA. I liked Speak and 13 Reasons Why, it’s just not my “go to” genre. I’ve heard it’s really good though!
