Reason for Absence: I guess it’s kind of bad when you start a new blog and then disappear, but my computer and internet decided to stop working, and then things got a little busy with the holidays. But anyway, I’m back and I plan to be more active.
On with the post. I thought I’d share my “Christmas loot” with you all. So without futher ado, here it is.
Caraval (which I’ve already started, so look out for a review) and Carve the Mark were gifts form my others, but the rest were purchases I made with my Christmas money at the used bookstore.
We have this really great and totally amazingly huge-can-get-lost-for-hours bookstore near me, so I decided to do my husband a favor and go by myself. I spent two hours there. TWO HOURS of paradise.
Granted, I was smart about it. I made a list of 30ish books I wanted, knowing that most wouldn’t be there, AND listed the price the book would cost on Amazon. Needless to say, I ended up only spending $15 on books that would have cost me $60 or so online. It just, you know, took some time. So yep, 6 books for $15. I’m feeling pretty proud of myself right now.
Plus, I found this beautiful edition of A Christmas Carol.
Anyway, what did books did you get for the holidays? Have you read any of the ones I received? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. 🙂
